About Marla Brown
Welcome!
I'm Marla Brown and I am always wandering, seeking, looking, and questioning to understand people and the world better.
Photography is my way of unfolding the mysteries and magical moments of life. It helps me better understand our environment, cultures, and the ever-changing world we are living in today.
Photography gives me an opportunity to return from a location and reflect even longer about the places and people I visited.
A LITTLE HISTORY
Today I am based out of Phoenix, Arizona, but I am a native of the Pacific Northwest from a small town outside of Seattle, Washington. I was fortunate to grow up in nature running through trails, playing in the streams, and discovering the Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean. I guess you could say nature is a large part of who I am.
Through the years, I have learned photography by studying the works of great photographers and artists. I have attended workshops and classes in Europe, and North America. I have had a camera in my bag for over 40 years.
PHOTOGRAPHY & LIFE NOW
Today, I aim to create photographs and record our earth's natural treasures, landscapes, and cultures as an inspiration for all who are working to preserve them. I am passionate about conservation, our environment, and humanitarian causes.

All my best,
